Happy Valentine's Day, puzzlers! I hope this day is filled with love (in any form) for all of you.

Banner note: Winner and Champion banners for September will be posted later today.

Regarding March's puzzle - we will do another Make You Own Themed Puzzle. You will be able to follow the same guidelines as February's puzzle, plus there will be spring themes on offer. I will post those soon.

A word about themes: Needing a theme isn't meant to be a constraint. It is fine to simply have your story set on one the appropriate holidays, have you characters snowed in together or participating in a winter sport/fighting a blizzard, etc. Simply use author notes to tell me what and how the winter theme is being represented.

Sample Note:
Theme: Aquarius - Being dead doesn't stop this Aquarian from being an unpredictable commitment-phobe.
Power Hour: Flight - August
Creature Feature: Vampire - May
Classifieds: Gaurdian - August
Cosmic Constant: Time - April

Questions? Please, don't hesistate to ask below or PM me. Cheers, and happy puzzling :-)

Welcome to Winter Fest 2017 at Clan Terror! We’ve been doing seasonal fests at [livejournal.com profile] myth_fan for almost a year, and this year I thought it’d be fun to host them Clan wide. The announcements haven’t gone up at all the comms yet, though.

Entries to [livejournal.com profile] puzzleprompts will resume for February as promised, with the Make Your Own Themed Puzzle, created from last year’s puzzle pieces. Consider the themes below as the ones you will have to choose from.

For now, we’d love to have everyone’s participation at the fests going on at the other comms. Since each comm has a different focus, each ‘local fest’ is a little different. Please see the linked Opening Posts for more details.

Winter Fest Myth Fan
Everyone is welcome to contribute something to the Fest from any culture’s myths, folk tales, etc., that is seasonally appropriate and in our genres - mythology, folklore, urban legends, or such in modern media, or fantasy media in general.

At Terror Scifi
Genres include - sci-fi, fantasy, horror, steampunk, gothic, and any other branch of speculative fiction. Fills for Cosmic Collision prompts are also welcome.

Appropriate themes include:
Winter themes - barrenness, hibernation, death, gestation, rebirth, anticipation, etc.
