What: Prompt puzzle for May 2018.

Why: For inspiration, accomplishment, and glory!

When: To enter the contest proper and receive a banner, post fics to puzzleprompts by 11pm EST, Friday June 8, 2018. Give or take 12 hours for emergencies. Otherwise, puzzles may be posted wherever and whenever you want, as long as you include a link to puzzleprompts, thanks!

Content Reminder: Fics must be newly completed! If these prompts help you finish a stalled fic, that’s what we’re here for. But please, don’t submit fics completed months ago that happen to fit this month’s puzzle. Entries may also be answers to other comms' prompts.

Author Notes: Please use notes to clarify how you are using the pieces. Especially for long fics, metaphorical uses, and fics from original or small fandoms.

Rules and Guidelines

You are welcome to archive your fic in our AO3 Collection for 2018 at any time.

*All powers and attempts at magic/sci-tech, etc. can go horribly wrong, or simply not succeed, and still count.

*Possible interpretations are not limited to the below. These are just examples to intrigue your muses.

Power Hour: Teamwork/Friendship

Teamwork (or friendship ala Buffy or Harry Potter) shown to make people stronger, and/or victorious over flat tires, a rival dance gang, racist wizards, or space aliens.

Creature Feature: Magic User

Character that utilizes traditional ‘magical’ powers, ie elemental, psychic/psionic, herbal/potion, astral/chi/energetic, etc.

Ex: Jedi, Sith, Magicians, X-Men, Inhumans, Scarlett Witch, Doctor Strange, Vision, Loki, Hela, Thor, Kylo Ren, Rey, Harry Potter, Willow Rosenberg, The Red Witch, etc.

Sports&Recc and The Classifieds: Movement/Psychospiritual Exercise

Ex: Yoga, meditation, tai chi, martial arts, magic use, dance, etc.

Classifieds = the teacher, sensei, guru, etc. Or someone using the above in a work situation.

Sports&Recc= the student, or someone doing the above for fun, etc.

Mother Nature:  Fire

Can be natural or supernatural.

Can be chemical or combustion.

Ex: candle, gas stove, Baelfire, pyrokinesis, flame thrower, etc.

Geology Rocks: Crystal

Can be a crystal, semi-precious stone, gem stone, birth stone, infinity stone, etc.

Amber and obsidian count.
Salts, and anything described as crystalline counts.

Random Object: Jewelry

Anything crafted and worn to be decorative. Can have magical purposes, such as an amulet or infinity gauntlet.

Random Descriptor:  Complicated

Something (person, situation, relationship, etc.) must be described as either complicated, complex, a cluster-fuck, or similar.

Haha, it's worth considering. I could probably knock out most of these prompts without trying by simply updating that fic. I mean, Luke is a teacher with a magical pendant, and nothing quite says complicated magic user like Kylo Ren.
