Yep, all fandoms are accepted here. The idea is that PP can provide prompts for any fandom comm, and work in junction with other comm's prompts. It was just created to make prompts for aanime, myth, and terror. But then I realized the true potential of my complicated creation, mwahaha! That's when I decided to take over, ahem, I mean share my humble brilliance with others ;-)
For the "what's my line" prompt, does it have to be exactly what you post or if you list a song does it include any lyrics in that song?
That's a good question. I intended that a writer could use any part of the lyric/title, like the words themselves, something about the musician/writer, the book's theme, a character from it, how listening to the song makes them feel, etc... But, now that you ask, I wonder how someone unfamiliar with the song/book would know for sure the prompt was being followed. I guess that's what the honor system means, and what Author Notes are for, lol.
So, yes, anything at all having to do with the line, with a brief explanation in the 'Notes', as a 'What I was going for here' section. Thanks again!
Is it pretty much anything goes, rating-wise, as long as it's marked appropriately? Anything you're uncomfortable with? Like, if I were to write something smutty for TLOU, it would likely include shenanigans with a pairing that squicks people due to one being underage. (Smut isn't really my forte, but a friend has been pestering me, and if inspiration strikes... ha! It would probably end up being cracky or fluffy)
Yes, as long as there are ratings, and warnings for things like incest, underage sex, non-con, assault, torture, BDSM, etc...Thanks for asking for clarification. Perhaps, my 'casual' information page was too casual, eh?
Cheers! I look forward to reading your fics. My personal reading squicks come and go :-)
Hi! I'm so enjoying this comm so far and was delighted with its introduction! I need two tags, please: one fandom tag for Labyrinth and one member tag for myself, Kat Lee or KatLeePT depending on how you're doing them, please.
Also, a query: Are we to use all the prompts or just as however many we want? I was happy to use them all this time. Gave me the inspiration to do a fic I'd considered but from whence I was kinda running. You'll know why if you read it, I think.
Thanks in advance!
Oh, heck, I'll ask another question any way. Have you considered doing any extra prompts for the cartoon/anime comm you have, by any chance? I've been looking for a good 'toon comm for AGES! Thought of making one myself but just don't wanna take the time away from my writing. :)
Hi, thanks! It's great to hear people are being inspired here! Haven't gotten a chance to read it, yet, but I will. :-)
Thanks for the heads up on the tags. I adjusted yours' accordingly. And you can use however many prompts you want, as long as you follow the fic length guidelines on the profile page.
These prompts can be as loosely interpreted as you want, to fit into science fiction and super power fandoms. But I will make a post on aanime_fan soon, asking members for content ideas you all would like to see over there.
If you have ways you'd like to contribute on a regular basis, I'd love to hear them! I think a PM to me dancingdragon3, would be best for that. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!
Somehow, I totally missed the word lengths and, especially, the banners when I first signed up the other day! That's a really lovely idea! :)
Let's see what the poll shows the members want and go from there. I'll be happy to help any way you may need it, prompts, tags, advertising, whatever comes up. :)
How tight are the fic length and prompt use rules? Because I've written a 500 words piece based on just one prompt. I ain't even gonna lie and try to squeeze another 4 prompts in there. . . Can I still post, or is it a strict 100 - 300 words for 1 prompt?
I just looked over the rules, and 1) I have let someone get away with a two word (under) discrepancy because of word programs counting different characters as words. It's happened to me before, and I would never expect anyone to count words by hand. 2) I could see reasoning for allowing only two prompts in a 500 word fic, and in fact, may change the word count requirements (by one word), now that I've looked at them again.
But, sorry to say, I have to hold firm with one prompt = one true drabble. And anything over 500 words is three prompts. I hold myself to these rules, too. Sorry to disappoint, but I hope you'll stick with us :-)
Hello there Mod! (: No, no, that's understandable! Rules are rules and should be stuck too! I understand. If I've got time I shall try to reword it, and cut down at least 300 words, overwise it fits with my other prompt tables/themes, so no greater loss.
Thank you for a speedy reply. I look forward to completing further challenges for this com! :D
Hi! Absolutely! I write original fic and encourage people to share their's here and at Terror. In fact that's part of the reason I started both communities. Thanks for letting me know that wasn't clear enough. I've altered the profile to make it more clear.

Date: 2016-03-24 05:27 am (UTC)So for puzzleprompts, "all fandoms" -- it's not only meant for the myth and animation comms? Anything goes?

I hope people's creative juices start flowing :)

Date: 2016-06-06 11:12 pm (UTC)I was wondering if original fiction is allowed. I read all the rules and guidelines and I didn't see it mentioned.
